Introduction to Beekeeping - Workshop!
The workshop will last approximately 3 hours. We will have a class inside, then we will get suited up and do a hive inspection. We will identify worker bees, drones, the queen - if we're lucky, capped honey, capped brood, pollen, eggs and larva. This class is not for general curiosity about bees, it is absolutely geared for those looking to start the amazing beekeeping hobby.
• Class is $85 per person
• Protection is provided to attend this class. No stings on our watch! :)
• There is a 5-person minimum requirement. If the minimum is not met, class will be cancelled, and a refund will be provided. *Please note: Due to size limitations, your registration cannot be moved to another date. *
• If the weather is not cooperating, we will move your registration to another date.
*Minimum Age Limit is 12*
Please wear boots or high socks with tennis shoes. We don't want any love bites on your ankles! *
Upon completion of the workshop, you will receive a free online First Year Beekeeping class.
Bees will bee available to order at this workshop, with a pickup date of April/May.

• Introduction to Beekeeping Recorded
(Just beginning to look into becoming a beekeeper)
Great for those of you looking to start beekeeping.
This class will cover bee biology, the different roles the bees play in a hive,
hive management as a beginner, a broad overview of pests and diseases, the
equipment needed as a new beekeeper, honey expectations and much more.
Class is approximately 1 hour.
• First Year Beekeeping Recorded
(Just got home with your new bees)
This class covers Summer feeding, inspections, honey extraction,
mite treatment, fall preparation and winter weatherization!
What to do May - Nov with your new bees!!
Very informative online class for first year beekeepers!
Class is approximately 1 hour.
• Second Year Beekeeping Recorded
(Coming up on your second year)
This class covers Spring feeding, swarm prevention, mite treatments
and splits. Very informative online class for second year beekeepers!
Class is approximately 1 hour.
