I know I typed a lot on this page, but please read it all. Thank you!!
We will be doing pickups in alphabetical order in 2021.
More details will be available by April 15th! Please check back here on or after that date.
For now here is some general information:
If you purchase a NUC, Single Box Hive, or Kit and you are not taking the "inside the hive" class, you will be scheduled for the first weekend of pickups.
If you purchase a NUC, Single Box Hive, or Kit and you aretaking the "inside the hive" class, you will be scheduled for the second weekend of pickups.
Both dates for pickup weekends will be announced by April 15th! I'll update this website (under this tab) on or after that date.
It is your responsibility to check the website for your pickupdate and time. If you have any questions about your date/time, please don't hesitate to call me. I'd be happy to help!
**If you do not show up at your scheduled date/time, your bees will be moved back into the apiary and a refund will not be issued.**
IF YOU WANT TO BE ADDED TO OUR DELIVERY SCHEDULE, PLEASE ADD THAT SERVICE TO YOUR CART. ANY QUESTIONS, CALL ME!
In closing, please understand that you are picking up a live, stinging insect. BEES can and sometimes do escape. We do our best to close them up, but we can't keep them closed for hours. There may be a few hanging out at the entrance and it's impossible to push them back into your box.
Some tips for picking up bees:
-Bring a truck - with at least 2 ratchet straps -Bring your suit or jacket if you plan on inspecting the bees -Bring a net if you are coming in a car or minivan. Highly recommend a truck! -Listen to my tips and trust me, it'll be a lot more fun getting your new bees!! :)
I'm not trying be a buzz kill! (See what I did there?) But, it is irresponsible for me not to help you be safe. The bees are a little more aggressive at pickups. They've been moved from their original bee farm to my bee farm, and now they are being moved again. At least the last move is permanent! They will calm down and be more pleasant in a couple days!
